The Women's Football Network is delighted to announce that Luiza Travassos, a midfielder Marshall Women's Soccer player, has joined our growing network of talented women footballers.
Who Is Luiza?
Born in Rio de Janeiro in 2004, Luiza has chased a football dream since childhood. At just 13 she was named on the BBC's 100 Women list for challenging sexism in sport, having earned a place at the PSG Academy and risen through Fluminense's youth ranks as an under-16 captain and Brazil under-17 call-up. A fearless advocate for the women's game ('football is for everyone'), she now brings her creativity to midfield in the US college game with Marshall.
Joining The Network
Luiza becomes the latest addition to a roster of more than 50 athletes spanning multiple leagues, positions and countries. Through The Women's Football Network she gains access to brand partners, commercial opportunities and a support system built specifically for women footballers looking to grow their profile on and off the pitch.
