The Women's Football Network is delighted to announce that Betsy Hassett, a midfielder former Man City, Ajax, New Zealand player, has joined our growing network of talented women footballers.
Who Is Betsy?
Born in Auckland in 1990, Betsy is a New Zealand attacking midfielder who represented the Football Ferns at three Olympic Games (2012, 2016 and 2020) and two World Cups. Over a 14-year career abroad she played for Manchester City, Ajax (winning the Eredivisie), Werder Bremen, SC Sand and clubs across Norway and Iceland, after studying at UC Berkeley. Since retiring in 2026 she has moved into coaching via UEFA's Master for International Players programme.
Joining The Network
Betsy becomes the latest addition to a roster of more than 50 athletes spanning multiple leagues, positions and countries. Through The Women's Football Network she gains access to brand partners, commercial opportunities and a support system built specifically for women footballers looking to grow their profile on and off the pitch.
